Crash Shuts Down I-270 Lanes In Maryland (Developing)

Traffic was tied up on I-270 in Montgomery County during the morning commute on Thursday when a truck reportedly overturned.

In Bethesda, the southbound lanes were temporarily closed on Thursday, Aug. 10, before some lanes reopened at approximately 9 a.m. following the crash.

The incident was reported on the interstate near the Democracy Boulevard exit.

According to the Montgomery County Office of Emergency and Homeland Security, motorists should avoid the area and can expect significant delays in the area.
